The 2006 Segunda División Peruana, the second division of Peruvian football (soccer), was played by 12 teams. The tournament winner, Municipal, was promoted to the 2007 Peruvian First Division. The last places, Curibamba and Defensor Villa del Mar, were relegated to the 2007 Copa Perú. The tournament was played on a home-and-away round-robin basis.
