Purpose of use

Although this was nominally a "thrill ride", it was actually an "installation" of "conceptual art" -- intended to trigger discussion. It received world-wide coverage, which I believe means it succeeded, and should be regarded as "notable". It was only installed for two months, which makes this image a non-replaceable illustration of a unique phenomenon.
