Summary

Trolleybuses on King Edward Street Kingston upon Hull This picture was taken in 1963, on King Edward Street Hull, which was the main terminus for trolleybuses in those days.

The trolleybus in the centre of the picture is one of the famous and unique Coronation class of twin-door, twin-staircase Sunbeams delivered with one-manning in mind (and years ahead of their time).

These vehicles were scrapped when less than 9 years old and not one Hull trolleybus was saved for preservation. The Hull trolleybus system closed down on the 31st of October 1964.
