File:Radar-Doppler winds.png
Summary
Idealized output of wind velocities has analyzed by a Doppler radar which has a full coverage of targets over is domain. The value of velocities varies with angle of view of the beam as the radar its only noticing the radar component. In order to estimate the real wind, one has to find the angle at which the speed is maximized at a certain level above ground.
In this case, the particles are moving from the North-East (Blue toward Red) near the radar and turning East as one look toward the outer ring. The rings indicate the height above ground and one notices that there is a variation of the maximum value according to the ring followed. The maximum velocities with height being between level 18 and 25. This is therefore the case of a low level jet from the NE.
