Summary
On the last Sunday of each month, the Vatican Museum is open to the public at no charge. This is extremely popular and it is not uncommon to wait in line for many hours. The other days of week you can use the on-line ticket office. This image is a panoramic view of one small stretch of the entire queue, which continued for some distance in both directions beyond view. Taken by myself with a Canon 5D and 24-105mm f/4L IS lens.
