House of Stone: A Memoir of Home, Family, and a Lost Middle East is a 2012 book by former New York Times journalist Anthony Shadid. It details his experiences returning to his family's home in Lebanon and his attempt to rebuild it. It was published shortly after Shadid died while covering the Syrian civil war.
