Beyoncé is an American singer, songwriter, actress, and entrepreneur. With a total of 20 awards and 53 nominations from the Grammys for her music (as a solo artist and with Destiny's Child), she is the most nominated woman in Grammy history. Although music is her primary source of accomplishment she has also received nominations and awards for other successes in retail, image, journalism, philanthropy, film, and television, most notably a nomination for Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy for her role in the movie Dreamgirls.
