Mahmoud Fotouhi Firouzabad (born 1959) is the current chancellor of Sharif University of Technology, being appointed on 28 August 2014. Fotouhi Firouzabad graduated with honor B.Sc. as a first rank from Sharif University of Technology then he admitted in graduate program of University of Tehran where he got his M.Sc. He got a scholarship from Iranian Ministry of Science to pursue his studies in University of Saskatchewan in Canada, where he got a MSc and a PhD degree from the University of Saskatchewan.[1]
His scientific activities include more than 150 journals papers, and supervising more than 50 master's and doctoral theses. He is Fellow of IEEE since 2014. [2]
