Albuca bracteata (syn. Ornithogalum longebracteatum[2]), known by the common names pregnant onion,[3] false sea onion,[4] and sea-onion,[5] is a species of flowering plant in the family Asparagaceae. It is native to South Africa (the Cape Provinces, KwaZulu-Natal)[5] and tropical east Africa.[1] It is used as a houseplant.[3]
