The name Kate has been used for three tropical cyclones in the Atlantic Ocean, eleven tropical cyclones in the western Pacific, and at least three in the Southern Hemisphere.

- Hurricane Kate (2003) - Category 3 hurricane. Brushed Newfoundland
- Hurricane Kate (2015) - Category 1 hurricane. Brushed the Bahamas

- 1967's Typhoon Kate (T6719, 21W)
- Typhoon Kate (1970) killed 915 in the Philippines.

- 1976's Hurricane Kate - briefly threatened Hawaii
- 1999's Typhoon Kate (T9901, 04W, Diding)
