Dr. Abdelhamid Brahimi (Arabic: عبد الحميد براهيمي‎‎) (born April 2, 1936 in Constantine, Algeria) is an Algerian who first served as minister of planning[1] before becoming the prime minister of Algeria under Chadli Bendjedid. He served as PM from January 22, 1984 until November 5, 1988.[2] He has written several books, particularly about violence in Algeria.
