Alex Samuel (born 20 September 1995) is a Welsh professional footballer who plays as a striker for Swansea City.

Career

Samuel started his career at Aberystwyth Town, before moving to Swansea City.[2]

He was a mainstay of the Swansea City under-21 side which won the Professional Development League in 2014–15.[1]

In September 2015, Samuel went on loan to Greenock Morton until 9 January 2016.[3] He made his debut as a late substitute for Romario Sabajo in a 4–2 victory against Livingston.[4] He scored his first league goal with the late equaliser in the Renfrewshire derby against St. Mirren on 20 November 2015.[5] On 8 January 2016, the loan was extended until the end of the season.[6] In February 2016, he returned to Swansea to receive treatment after sustaining an injury in a Development League West match against Queen's Park.[7]

International career

Samuel has played for Wales at U19 level.[8]
