Aljustrel (Portuguese pronunciation: [ɐɫʒuʃˈtɾɛɫ]) is a town and a municipality in the district of Beja in Portugal. The population in 2011 was 9,257,[1] in an area of 458.47 km².[2]

During the Roman era, Aljustrel was known as Metallum Vispascense.

The present mayor is Nelson Domingos Brito, elected by the Socialist Party. The municipal holiday is June 13. Its French twin town is Hem, in the Nord département.
