Angie Asimus
Lua error in package.lua at line 80: module 'strict' not found. Angie Asimus is a news presenter and journalist for Seven News in Sydney. She was originally from Gundagai (in rural New South Wales) before moving to Sydney to study Media Communications at the University of Sydney.
Career
Angie started her career as a journalist in 2008 with Seven Queensland working at their Townsville newsroom. In 2010 she was moved to Seven's Brisbane Newsroom initially as the court reporter.
During the 2011 floods Angie presented the weather then soon after moved into the role of weekend weather presenter on a full-time basis. While doing this she completed a tertiary studies in Climatology from the University of Southern Queensland.
Over the summer of 2012 Angie started working as a fill-in newsreader with Patrick Condren. Now Angie is often seen filling in for Kay McGrath and Sharyn Ghidella on a regular basis.[1]
On 12 July 2013 made her national debut as a news presenter reading the 11:30 and 4:30 bulletins for the Seven Network replacing Ann Sanders.[2]
In January 2014, Asimus moved back to Sydney where she will be a reporter with Seven News.
