Anthropological Theory is a peer-reviewed academic journal that publishes papers in the field of Anthropology. The journal's editors are Jonathan Friedman (University of California), Bruce Kapferer (University of Bergen) and Joel Robbins (University of California). It has been in publication since 2001 and is currently published by SAGE Publications.

Scope

Anthropological Theory aims to strengthen anthropological theorizing in different areas of the world. The journal addresses issues such as nationalism, language and representation and material culture. Anthropological Theory provides a forum for debate and insights into theoretical issues in anthropology and more broadly, social theory.
