Aylestone Park F.C. is an English football club located in Aylestone, a suburb of Leicester, in Leicestershire. The club plays in the East Midlands Counties Football League. The club was formed in 1968. After spending 23 years in the Leicestershire Senior League, the club was accepted into the East Midlands Counties Football League League for the 2012–13 season after finishing third in the Leicestershire Senior League.

History

Aylestone Park Youth Football Club was formed in 1968.[1] They later changed their name to Aylestone Park Old Boys and, in 1989–90, the cub entered the Leicestershire Senior League Division One.[2] They finished runners-up in 1994–95 and gained promotion to the Premier Division. In 2001–02, Aylestone were relegated back to Division One, but two seasons later the club were promoted back after finishing runners-up. The club changed its name to its current one in 2007 and after finishing third in the Premier Division in 2011–12, Aylestone were promoted to the East Midlands Counties Football League.[3] For the 2014–15 campaign, the club appointed from within, promoting former youth team coach Andy Panayiotou to the role of first team manager. In the summer of 2015 the club appointed Richard Hill first team manager after he left league rivals Ellistown & Ibstock in May.
