Babak Behruwan

Babak Behruwan[1] was a Sasanian military commander who is mostly known for his major role in the reformation of the Sasanian military. Al-Tabari describes him as "a man of noble birth known for his magnanimous qualities and capability."[2] However, according to the Shahnameh, Babak was a priest.
