Berlin Half Marathon is an annual half marathon race held in early Spring in Berlin, Germany. The race was first held in 1984. A total of 23,799 runners took part in the half marathon in 2010.[1] This number grew to 25,500 participants for the 2011 event.[2]

A number of other events have been held on the same day at previous editions: throughout the 1980s a marathon and 20 kilometres fun run were held. The race currently hosts a half marathon inline skating race on the same day.

The event is sponsored by Vattenfall, a Swedish energy company.[2]
