Robert Paul 'Bob' Nonini (born August 7, 1954 in Wallace, Idaho)[1] is a Republican Idaho State Representative since 2004 representing District 5 in the A seat.[2]
Education
Nonini graduated from Wallace High School and attended North Idaho College.
Elections
- 2012 Redistricted to District 2, and with Republican Senator Steve Vick redistricted to District 2, Nonini is seeking the district's open senate seat; he was unopposed in the May 15, 2012, Republican primary, winning with 3,161 votes, facing Democratic nominee Kristy Reed Johnson[3] for the general election on November 6, 2012.
- 2004 When Republican Representative Hilde Kellogg retired and left the District 5 A seat open, Nonini won the May 25, 2004, Republican primary with 1,641 votes (51.88%) against Ron Vieselmeyer;[4] he won the three-party November 2, 2004, general election with 10,804 votes (64.3%) against Democratic nominee David B. Larsen and Constitution Party nominee Rose Johnson.[5]
- 2006 Unopposed for the May 23, 2006, Republican primary, Nonini won with 2,851 votes; Larsen was unopposed in the Democratic primary, setting up a rematch.[6] Johnson ran as a write-in candidate. Nonini won the November 7, 2006, general election with 7,562 votes (63.74%) against Larsen.[7]
- 2008 Unopposed for the May 27, 2008, Republican primary, Nonini won with 2,426 votes;[8] he won the November 4, 2008, general election with 15,850 votes (96.9%) against write-in independent challenger Karin Ducote.[9]
- 2010 Unopposed for the May 25, 2010, Republican primary, Nonini won with 3,413 votes; in the Democratic primary, Larsen ran as a write-in candidate[10] and received enough votes to be included on the general election ballot, setting up their third contest. Nonini won the November 2, 2010, general election with 9,973 votes (73.1%).[11]
