Connor Richard Jones Roberts (born 23 September 1995) is a Welsh professional footballer who plays for Swansea City.
Club career
After progressing through Swansea City Academy, Roberts signed a one-year professional contract with the Swans in 2014.[3] In May 2015, Roberts won the 2014–15 Professional U21 Development League 2 title as part of the Swansea Under-21 team.[4] Roberts signed a new two-year contract with Swansea in at the end of the season 2014–15 season.[5]
On 8 August 2015, Roberts joined Football League Two side Yeovil Town on a one-month loan deal,[6] he made his debut later that day in a 3–2 defeat against Exeter City.[7] On 6 January 2016, Roberts signed his fifth loan extension with the Glovers, thereby agreeing to stay at Huish Park until the end of the season.[8] Roberts played in 54 times for Yeovil, missing only one match all season due to his call-up to the Wales under-21 side, and walked away with three player of the year awards as well as the club's young player of the year award.[9][10]
International career
Roberts has been capped at Wales under-19 level.[11] In March 2016, Roberts received his first call-up to the Wales under-21 side for their 2017 UEFA European Under-21 Championship qualification matches,[12] and made his debut as a second half substitute in their 2–1 defeat against Romania, on 29 March 2016.
