Don Mancini (born January 25, 1963) is an American screenwriter, producer and film director. Mancini is best known for creating the character Chucky and writing all the films in the Chucky series, respectively. Mancini was also the executive producer of Bride of Chucky, and he directed Seed of Chucky as well as the recent installment in Chucky franchise, Curse of Chucky. Along with Michael McDowell and Clive Barker, Mancini is one of the few openly gay writers in the slasher film genre.[1] In 2007, he won the EyeGore award for career contributions to the horror genre. He sometimes goes by the pseudonym Kit Du Bois (also spelled Kit Dubois). Mancini attended St. Christopher's School in Richmond, VA and Columbia University in New York City.
