Fuzhou Metro is a metro system in the city of Fuzhou, Fujian province in China. The first line was planned to open in 2014[1] but was delayed to 2016 due to archaeological excavations.[2] Operator is Fuzhou Metro Corporation.
Fuzhou Metro was approved for construction on 3 June 2009. Passenger-free test trial for 3 months began on 30 December 2015.[3]The first operational line started service on May 18, 2016.[4]
Network
At the moment, two lines with 55.3 km length and 46 stations are under construction for 17 bln yuans (2.5 bln US dollars) while 8 lines (including suburban) with 290 km length in network are planning totally.
Line 1 has 28.8 km length, 35 km/h average speed of trains, 40 minutes of travel time, 5 minutes intervals and runs north to south. The first section of Line 1 from Xiangfeng Road and Fuzhou Railway Station to Fuzhou South Railway Station via Hualin Road and Zexu Avenue has 24.9 km length and includes 21 stops. The second section with 4 stops will achieve the city's eastern area.
Line 2 has 26.5 km length and runs west to east.
Lines 3, 4, 5, 6 has 30.1, 25.2, 32, 37 km lengths concerningly.
Suburban Lines 7 and 8 has 55 and 55 km lengths and first of them goes to Fuzhou Changle International Airport.

Equipment
The Model-B trains consists of 6 cars and has capacity near 1,500 passengers including 256 seats. 28 trains ordered for Line 1, first of them was produced by CNR Tangshan Railway Vehicle plant in April 2015.
Fare consideres by red plastic RFID tokens and smart cards.
