The Green Line or Line 2 is one of the two lines of Chennai Metro, Phase 1 Project. The line stretches from St. Thomas Mount to Chennai Central. Out of the 17 stations 9 stations are underground and 8 are elevated.

Status and Fare
Status
Line 2 is currently functioning from Alandur to Koyambedu.The frequency of the trains is around four trains per hour. The first train starts form Koyambedu at 06:00 AM and the last train starts from Alandur at 10:03 PM.
