When Detective Gibson (Sam Trammell) and other corrupt police officers are unable to bring the killers to justice, Stanley turns to his old friend Dennis (Christopher Meloni) and decides to take matters into his own hands. It is only then that Stanley and Dennis are found to have a mysterious past that, until now, they have kept very well hidden. On February 11, 2015, the project was on track again with John Travolta cast in place of Cage and Chuck Russell set to direct the film; Michael Mendelsohn would co-produce the film with the previously attached Vallelonga and Salvatore.[1] Other members of the ensemble cast include Rebecca De Mornay as Vivian Hill, Sam Trammell as Detective Gibson, Christopher Meloni as Dennis, and Luis Da Silva as Charley, Paul Sloan as Lemi K, and Asante Jones as Detective Walters.[4] Patrick St. Esprit was also said to be cast to play Joe Meserve, the governor.[5] Amanda Schull was also added to the cast to play Hill's daughter.[3] Rob Carliner was also among the producers.[3]
