Jane Platt

Jane Christine Platt CBE (born 8 January 1957) is a British businesswoman, and the Chief Executive of National Savings and Investments (NS&I) since September 2006.

Early life

She was born in Liverpool. She attended the all-female Birkenhead High School, then a direct grant grammar school. She studied Modern Languages from 1975-79 at St Catherine's College, Oxford.[1] She completed her education at the London Business School.

Career

NS&I

NS&I was founded in 1861 by Henry John Temple, 3rd Viscount Palmerston. She became Chief Executive of NS&I in September 2006. In October 2008, the bank took £6bn in deposits in eight weeks. NS&I looks after around £100bn from around 25 million people.

She is on the board of the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).[2] She is on the board of Women in Banking & Finance.

Personal life

She was given a CBE.
