Jennica Alexis Garcia Uytingco (born December 26, 1989 in Quezon City, Philippines) is a Filipina actress and the daughter of Jean Garcia. She was a former contract of GMA Artist Center and now a current ABS-CBN artist contract.
Biography
Jennica Garcia is the only daughter of Jean Garcia and Jigo Garcia. She started her career when she got the role of Karen Manansala in Impostora, her first GMA show. She landed her first movie role in Regal Films' Hide and Seek. She has paired with Mart Escudero, who won StarStruck's Ultimate Loveteam (with Kris Bernal), in her shows in GMA. It was also said that she dated Mart. The cause of their break-up was because of a third party, and one of the people involved was JC Tuiseco whom Jennica worked with in one episode of Maynila. The actress and Mart denied and would not give the reason of why they broke up. They broke up early 2009. Her biggest break was her role of Eliza in Ako si Kim Samsoon. She is Regal Films' contract star as one of the Regal Babies.
After Kim Samsoon, Jennica joined the cast of Gagambino.[1] She has worked with her mother since Impostora and paired again with Escudero on different projects. This is Jennica's first telefantasya break. After Gagambino, Jennica was one of the four leading cast members in Adik Sa'Yo, pairing up with actor Dennis Trillo, which was aired June 8, 2009. Adik Sa'Yo ended September 11, 2009 and garnered high TV ratings. She received a lot of good reviews for portraying the role of Karen in the show because of the fresh candor she showed — especially the scenes where she runs after Ruben (Trillo).[2] She did an SRO Cinemaserye series called Reunion with Sheena Halili and her ex-boyfriend Mart Escudero; it premiered September 17, 2009.
Jennica and her family was saved from floods at the height of Typhoon Ketsana (locally known as Ondoy) September 26, 2009. That was the second time their house destroyed since 2003.
She is recently seen in her second Sine Novela Ina, Kasusuklaman Ba Kita? with her mother, Jean Garcia.[3]
Jennica was recently seen in her sixth drama, Pilyang Kerubin aired on GMA Network. She is now seen in her very first sitcom, Jejemom, which premiered August 2010, and in Bantatay, which premiered September 20, 2010.
After a five-month rest from drama, she appeared on a sitcom Show Me Da Manny on April 17, 2010 with boxing champion Cong. Manny Pacquiao & Marian Rivera-Dantes. The following month she appeared on Mind Master (May 7). She is back in drama on Captain Barbell; during the taping of the show she fainted and was rumored to be pregnant. She has denied the rumor. In 2014, Garcia transfers to the rival station of GMA Network, ABS-CBN because she finishes Kapuso latest teleserye Carmela and she is seen in an episode of Ipaglaban Mo!.
She confirmed that she is already married to Alwyn Uytingco early in February of that year.
