Jimmy Stewart (American football)

James H. “Jimmy” Stewart was an American football coach. He served as interim head coach at Southern Methodist University from 1942 to 1944 while Matty Bell served in the U.S. Navy during World War II; his record in those three seasons was 10–18–2.[1][2] From 1945 to 1950 he served as Executive Secretary of the Southwest Athletic Conference (SWC).[3]
