Self-parody

In 2005, Finn along with co-stars Kathryn Morris and Jeremy Ratchford appeared in a celebrated TV promo for Cold Case on the Irish language television station TG4. In the promo, an actor from the Irish drama Ros na Rún playing 'Daniel', is being interrogated in the Philadelphia Police Department's interview room. Despite relentless questioning over a missing woman, the suspect refuses to co-operate, smugly stating in Irish that he cannot understand English. Lieutenant John Stillman (Finn) promptly sits beside him and asks in Irish, in a pitch perfect accent, "Cá bhfuil an bhean seo? Ar mharaigh tú í?" ("Where is this woman? Did you murder her?").

Detective Lilly Rush (Morris) looks the now terrified suspect in the eye and asks, "An dtuigeann tú anois, Daniel?" ("Do you understand now, Daniel?")

Meanwhile, Detective Nick Vera (Ratchford), having viewed the exchange behind glass, shakes his head and quips, "Didn't see that coming."
