John Paul the Great Catholic High School was a Roman Catholic high school which opened in Jasper, Indiana, in 2009 with nine students in ninth and tenth grades. It is located within the Roman Catholic Diocese of Evansville. It was named after Pope John Paul II, who had died in 2005. The school closed at the end of the 2011-12 school year with a total of 13 students. [1]

Background

Plans for the school began in 1999.[2] The school's classrooms were on the third floor of St. Joseph’s parish center.[3]
