Kavilok (Gujarati: કવિલોક), organ of Kavilok Trust, is a Gujarati language biomonthly poetry journal published from Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. Currently, the journal is edited by Dhiru Parikh. Praful Raval is serving as a co-editor of the journal.[1] [2]

History

The journal was founded by Rajendra Shah in 1957. The first issue of journal was published from Mumbai with crown size under the editorship of Rajendra Shah, Suresh Dalal and Jashubhai Shah. From the 32nd issue, Jayant Parekh joined as an editor instead of Jashubhai Shah. From 37th to 66th issue, Priyakant Maniar served as an editor with Jayant Parekh. On January 1970, the 73rd issue of journal got published from Ahmedabad with fullscape size under the editorship of Bachubhai Ravat and Rajendra Shah, and till been published from there. After replacement of journal in Ahmedabad, Niranjan Bhagat has also served as an editor around one year. From 1977, the journal is edited by Dhiru Parikh. Praful Raval is serving as co-editor of journal. From 2004 to 2006, Ashok Chavda has served as a co-editor.[1]

Content

The journal publishes all the genre of poetry, translation of world poetry, review and criticism of poetry and the biographical articles about poets.[2]
