Khanpur is a neighborhood in Delhi, India, situated in South Delhi district, on the Mehrauli- Badarpur Road. Its surrounding localities are Madangir, Dr. Ambedkar Nagar, Tigri and Dakishinpuri, plus Indo-Tibetan Border Police's (ITBP) National Centre for UNCIVPOL training is also situated at Tigri in Khanpur[1][2]

Khanpur is another name of the Ambedkar Nagar. Basist (Gujjars) are the local community of this area, ruling it solely.

Dakshinpuri is also a populated JJ Colony area but there are well structured roads and lanes. Pure water facility and electricity is available in this area. Community hall, police station, post offices etc. public department are also there. Garhwali & Kumauni Ramleela and various Pahari programmes are also organized every year by the Kumauni people of Dotal Gawn, Ranikhet and Uttrakhand at Mahakaleshwar Mahadev Mandir, Parvatiya Samaj Kalyan Parshid, 2 block behind police station.
