The Low-A East is a 12-team Minor League Baseball league that began operating in the United States in 2021.[1] Along with the Low-A Southeast and Low-A West, it is one of three leagues playing at the Low-A level, which is four grades below Major League Baseball (MLB). The league was created in 2021 in conjunction with MLB's reorganization of the minor leagues.[1] The league is made up of seven former members of the Class A-Advanced Carolina League and five of the Class A South Atlantic League.
