The METRO A Line, previously known as the Snelling Avenue Bus Rapid Transitway, is a bus line in Twin Cities. The A Line will connect the METRO Blue & Green lines with the busy Snelling Avenue corridor and several popular destinations, including Hamline University, Macalester College, Highland Village, Rosedale Center, Har Mar Mall, Minnehaha Park and the Midway area.
After a few construction schedule setbacks, the line will officially begin operation on June 11, 2016.
Background
Like regular Metro Transit buses, the A Line travels on busy urban streets, but is faster than regular buses. To reduce boarding time, instead of paying onboard, users buy a ticket or use a Go-To Card at the A Line station before boarding.
