Mitvim, the Israeli Institute for Regional Foreign Policies, is a progressive Israeli think tank. Its stated goals are "promoting new paradigms for Israel's foreign policies, enhancing Israel's regional belonging, and advancing Israeli–Arab peace."[1]
History
Mitvim was founded in May 2011 by Nimrod Goren, 2009–10 Hubert Humphrey Fellow at the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs of Syracuse University. Other leaders of Mitvim include Hebrew University's Elie Podeh; industrialist Yair Rotlevi; Ilai Saltzman, a lecturer in international relations at Claremont McKenna College in California; and Yonatan Touval, a foreign policy analyst and Harvard graduate.[1]
It has received funding from the New Israel Fund.[2]
In the University of Pennsylvania's 2014 Global Go To Think Tanks Report, Mitvim was ranked as the thirtieth best think thank in the Middle East and North Africa.[3]
