Nasal glioma (also known more correctly as Nasal glial heterotopia, along with "Brain-like heterotopia," "Cephalic brain-like heterotopia,"[1] "Glial hamartoma," "Nasal cerebral heterotopia,"[1] "Heterotopic neuroglial tissue," and "Nasal heterotopic brain tissue"[1]) is a rare benign congenital lesion, usually a firm, incompressible, reddish-blue to purple lesion occurring on the nasal bridge or midline near the root.[1][2]:622
