One Devonshire Gardens (officially known as Hotel du Vin at One Devonshire Gardens), is a luxury hotel located in the West End of Glasgow, Scotland. It is well known for its celebrity guests, including George Clooney, Kylie Minogue, Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, Robbie Williams, Gwyneth Paltrow, Whitney Houston, Lionel Richie and Jon Bon Jovi.[1][2] Rates for rooms start at £150 for a standard room, rising to £960 for the duplex Mews Suite.[3] The hotel also holds a licence as a marriage venue.[4]

History

Devonshire Gardens is a B-listed terrace of five townhouses, constructed in the 1870s.[5] The hotel was opened by Ken McCulloch in 1986[2] in Number One, although it has since expanded to occupy all five houses, Number Four being the last acquired.[1] The hotel now has forty-nine bedrooms,[6] and in 2006 was acquired by the Hotel du Vin chain, which also operates Malmaison hotels. Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay ran the hotel's restaurant, Amarylis, until 2004[7]
