Palay Khan Khosti (pashto. پا لے خان ) Palay Khan was also referred as, Palay Khosti and belonged to the Khosti Mandokhail tribe. He was a freedom fighter and chief commandar of the freedom fighters group. Those that fought against the British Raj, in 1930, at Balochistan, Pakistan then the Baluchistan (a Commissionerate Province). Khosti was living in Zhob by the time he died.[citation needed]

Palay Khan never surrendered in agreement between his group and the British Raj, against some compensation in favor of the earlier. The British promised him that they would accept the tribal laws as the constitution and laws for his land, that was announced for Zhob, the main area of his struggle.[citation needed]

Dramatic adaptations

Quetta center of PTV produced a drama serial Palay Shah as a tribute to Palay Khan's involvement in freedom movement and the serial had 13 episodes. It is directed and produced by Sajjad Ahmad. 75% of the drama is shot at original locations in Balochistan. The role of Palay is played by Jamal Shah, and Palay's brother Katey Khan is portrayed by Hayatullah Khan Durrani. Bollywood made a movie Palay Khan, directed by Ashim Samanta and produced by Shakti Samanta.[1]
