Degrassi: The Next Generation is a Canadian teen drama television series set in the Degrassi universe, which was created by Linda Schuyler and Kit Hood in 1979. Like its predecessors, Degrassi: The Next Generation follows a group of students at Degrassi Community School who face many challenges, like poor self image, peer pressure, child abuse, sexual identity, gang violence, self-injury, teenage pregnancy, and drug abuse. The series was created by Linda Schuyler and Yan Moore, and is produced by Epitome Pictures in association with the CTV Television Network. The series was filmed at Epitome's studios in Toronto, Ontario, rather than on the real De Grassi Street from which the franchise takes its name. A critical success, Degrassi: The Next Generation often received favourable reviews from Entertainment Weekly, The New York Times, and AfterElton.com. In its initial years, it was frequently the most watched domestic drama series in Canada, and one of the highest-rated shows on The N in the United States. The series premiered on CTV on October 14, 2001, and the 385th and final episode aired August 2, 2015, on MTV Canada.

Avatar: The Last Airbender is an American animated television series that aired for three seasons on Nickelodeon from 2005 to 2008. The series was created and produced by Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko, who served as executive producers along with Aaron Ehasz. Avatar is set in an Asian-influenced world of Chinese martial arts and elemental manipulation. The show drew on elements from traditional Asian culture, blending the styles of anime and US domestic cartoons. The pilot episode first aired on February 21, 2005 and the series concluded with a widely-praised two-hour television movie on July 19, 2008. Avatar: The Last Airbender was popular with both audiences and critics, Avatar has been nominated for and won awards from the Annual Annie Awards, the Genesis Awards, the primetime Emmy awards and a Peabody Award among others. The first season's success prompted Nickelodeon to order second and third seasons. In other media, the series has spawned a live-action movie trilogy, the first titled The Last Airbender, directed by M. Night Shyamalan, scaled action figures, a trading card game, second, and third seasons, stuffed animals distributed by Paramount Parks, and two LEGO sets.

iCarly is an American teen sitcom that ran on Nickelodeon from September 8, 2007 until November 23, 2012. The series was created by Dan Schneider. It focuses on teenager Carly Shay, who creates her own web show called iCarly with her best friends Sam Puckett and Freddie Benson. The show stars Miranda Cosgrove as Carly (pictured), Jennette McCurdy as Sam, Nathan Kress as Freddie, Jerry Trainor as Spencer, and Noah Munck as Gibby. It was taped at Nickelodeon on Sunset (season 1–5) and KTLA Studios (Season 6–7) in Hollywood, California. It was originally rated TV-Y7, and later changed to TV-G. The series finale, "iGoodbye", aired on November 23, 2012.

Rugrats is an American animated television series created by Arlene Klasky, Gábor Csupó, and Paul Germain for Nickelodeon. The show focuses on a group of toddlers, most prominently Tommy, Chuckie, Phil, Lil, and Angelica, and their day-to-day lives, usually involving common life experiences that become adventures in the babies' imaginations. The series premiered on August 11, 1991, as the second Nicktoon after Doug and preceding The Ren and Stimpy Show. Production initially halted in 1993 after 65 episodes, with the last one airing on May 22, 1994. From 1995 to 1996, the only new episodes broadcast were "A Rugrats Passover" and "A Rugrats Chanukah", two heavily Jewish-themed episodes that both received much critical praise. New Rugrats episodes began airing regularly again in 1997, and The Rugrats Movie, which introduced the character of Tommy's younger brother Dil, was released in November 1998. The final episode aired on June 8, 2004, bringing the series to a total of 172 episodes and 9 seasons.

The Ren & Stimpy Show, often simply Ren & Stimpy, is an American animated television series, created by Canadian animator John Kricfalusi (pictured). The series concerns the adventures of the titular characters: Ren Höek, a psychotic chihuahua, and Stimpson J. Cat, a good-natured, dimwitted cat. The show officially premiered on August 11, 1991, later the same day as the debut of Rugrats and Doug, the three of which comprised the original Nicktoons. The show ran for five seasons on Nickelodeon, ending its original run with the Christmas episode "A Scooter for Yaksmas." The show is animated in various styles reminiscent of the Golden Age of American animation. It is particularly memorable for its off-color humor, black comedy, and innuendo, all of which contributed to the production staff's altercations with Nickelodeon's Standards and Practices department. A spin-off for adult audiences, Ren & Stimpy "Adult Party Cartoon", aired in 2003 on Spike.

Rocko's Modern Life is an American TV animated series, the fourth of Nickelodeon's Nicktoons, created by Joe Murray and aired for four seasons from 1993 to 1996. Rocko's Modern Life was based around the surreal, parodic adventures of an anthropomorphic wallaby named Rocko, and his life in the city of O-Town. The program was produced by Joe Murray Productions and Games Productions. The show is laden with double entendres, innuendos, and social commentary.

SpongeBob's Atlantis SquarePantis is a 2007 made-for-television musical comedy film directed by Andrew Overtoom. The film stars Tom Kenny, Bill Fagerbakke, Rodger Bumpass, Clancy Brown, Carolyn Lawrence, and Mr. Lawrence. The film originally aired on Nickelodeon in the United States on November 12, 2007, following a 12-hour-marathon of SpongeBob SquarePants episodes. The series follows the adventures of the title character in the underwater city of Bikini Bottom. In the film, SpongeBob (voiced by Tom Kenny) and Patrick (voiced by Bill Fagerbakke) discover an ancient medallion that help them get to the lost city of Atlantis. The television film was written by Casey Alexander, Zeus Cervas, Steven Banks, and Dani Michaeli. English musician and actor David Bowie guest starred as the voice of Lord Royal Highness. Upon release, the film attracted an estimated 8.8 million viewers, and met mostly mixed critical response from television critics.

Wishology is a trilogy television film and the ninth movie special of the animated television series The Fairly OddParents. "The Big Beginning" (part 1) first aired on Nickelodeon in the United States on May 1, 2009, "The Exciting Middle Part" (part 2) on May 2, 2009, and "The Final Ending" (part 3) on May 3, 2009. The trilogy is written by Kevin Sullivan, Scott Fellows, and Butch Hartman, and was directed by Gary Conrad. According to Nielsen ratings, parts 1 and 3 of Wishology was viewed by approximately 4 million viewers while part 2 was viewed by 3.6 million. Critical reviewers displayed mixed reactions to how three-dimensional objects interact via computer animation with the series' usual two-dimensional artwork in the film. Composer Guy Moon, who has worked throughout the entire series so far, won an Annie Award for his music in part 1 of the trilogy in 2010. The film centers on the show's main character 10-year-old Timmy Turner with his fairy godparents Cosmo and Wanda and his baby fairy godbrother Poof, all of whom grant Timmy's wishes. Robots known as Eliminators appear in Timmy's hometown, Dimmsdale, to destroy the "chosen one", Timmy himself. In addition to the main cast, the trilogy features guest performances, most notably, Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley from the rock band Kiss, who serve as protectors of the white wand. Patrick Warburton provides his voice for the agents of the Military Extraterrestrial Research Facility (abbreviated M.E.R.F.) and Brendan Fraser voices Turbo Thunder, a warrior who believes he is the true chosen one and not Timmy. In addition to its cultural references to various media, the television film contains parodies of fantasy and science fiction films: The Matrix, The Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, The Terminator, Men in Black, and Star Wars.

Aang is a fictional character in Nickelodeon's animated television series Avatar: The Last Airbender. The character is created by Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko and is voiced by Zach Tyler Eisen. Aang is depicted as the show's main protagonist, and as such has appeared in all but one episode of the show, the exception being "Zuko Alone". Aang also appeared in the pilot episode which has not been aired. Most of Aang's traits, such as vegetarianism, are based on Buddhist and Taoist tradition. Aang is the series' reluctant hero, showing hesitation when joining his friends to save the world from the Fire Nation. The creators intended Aang to "defeat enemies with his wits" and be a "trickster hero". The series depict Aang as the last surviving Airbender and a monk of the Air Nomads, the only race of people with the unique ability to manipulate the air around them. He is also a supercentenarian at the age of 112, but was in suspended animation for one century, making his biological age twelve. It is revealed in the second episode that he is the current incarnation of the Avatar, the spirit of the planet manifested in human form. As the Avatar, Aang has the ability to control the four classical elements and is tasked with keeping the Four Nations at peace. The show follows Aang's journeys to complete this task, during a war instigated by the Fire Nation when he was frozen. Aang is also depicted as having a lighthearted personality which has been accepted well among critics.

Blue's Clues is an American children's television show airing on the Nickelodeon family of channels. The show premiered on September 8, 1996 and airs on Nick Jr. and other channels, although production of new episodes ceased by 2006. Versions of the show have been produced in other countries, most notably in the United Kingdom. It was created by a "green team" of producers, Todd Kessler, Angela C. Santomero, and Traci Paige Johnson, who used concepts learned from child development and early-childhood education research to create a television show that would capture preschool children's attention and help them learn. They used the narrative format in their presentation of material, as opposed to the more traditional magazine format, and structured every episode the same way.

Sozin's Comet: The Final Battle is the series finale for the Nickelodeon television series Avatar: The Last Airbender. It was directed by Ethan Spaulding, Giancarlo Volpe, and Joaquim Dos Santos, and written by Michael Dante DiMartino, Bryan Konietzko, and Aaron Ehasz. Though intended to be split into three parts, the finale aired as a two-hour four-part movie on July 19, 2008. Prior to the week of July 14–19, no episodes had been shown since November 30, 2007. The Saturday airing of Sozin's Comet acted as a climax to a week of ten new episodes that concluded Avatar's third season. The finale focuses on series protagonist Aang's non-violent personality and his reluctance to kill Fire Lord Ozai. The finale also follows the exploits of many of Aang's friends and allies, including Sokka, Toph and Suki's struggle to destroy a Fire Nation airship armada, Zuko and Katara's battle against Zuko's sister Azula, and Iroh, King Bumi, and the Order of the White Lotus' attempt to reconquer Ba Sing Se. Sozin's Comet received positive reception from critics and fans alike. The initial showing averaged 5.6 million viewers, a 195% increase in ratings compared with ratings from mid-July 2007. The premiere of episodes 52–61 throughout the week of release received over 19 million views, of which 5.6 million were from the premiere. At the 2008 Annie Awards, the director of the third part won an award for "Best Directing in an Animated Television Production".

The Naked Brothers Band: The Movie is an American film written and directed by actress Polly Draper and stars her prodigious sons, Nat Wolff and Alex Wolff, who portray members of a fictional rock group. It tells of the boys' struggles with their fame and an internal dispute that causes the band to temporarily break up. The cast keep their full names on-screen, though Allie DiMeco portrays Nat's female interest Rosalina; the siblings' actress cousin (Jesse Draper) plays the group's gullible babysitter Jesse Cook; and the siblings' jazz pianist father (Michael Wolff) portrays their accordion-playing dad Mr. Wolff. Draper shot the film in the style of a mockumentary—a parody in documentary format—that depicts the daily activities of the characters. It was emboldened by Nat's genuine band, The Silver Boulders, which he created in preschool with his friends—David Levi, Thomas Batuello, and Joshua Kaye—who all portray themselves in the film. Nat composed and performed all the music, though one song was by Alex.

"At the Movies" is the third episode of the animated television series Rugrats. It originally aired on the television network Nickelodeon on August 25, 1991, during the series' first season. In the episode, Didi and Stu take Tommy and his baby friends to see The Land Without Smiles, but Tommy is infatuated with seeing the monster movie Reptar!. He and the babies sneak out of the theater room to catch a showing of Reptar! while leaving a wake of accidental mayhem and destruction as they do. "At the Movies" was written by Craig Bartlett and series co-creator Paul Germain and directed by Dan Thompson. The episode introduced the characters of the Dummi Bears and Reptar. The latter was heavily inspired by the Japanese monster Godzilla and satirized the ever growing domination of Japanese culture into children's society. The character appeared in countless media tie-ins for the series, including a cereal brand, t-shirts, and video games, and would be reused in several other episodes of the series throughout its run. Author Jan Susina gave a generally positive review of "At the Movies" in the book, The Japanification of Children's Popular Culture: From Godzilla to Miyazaki. In 1997, it became available on the VHS Rugrats: Return of Reptar, which was nominated for Video Software Dealers Association's Home Entertainment Award in the "Outstanding Marketing Campaign for a Major Direct-to-Video Release" category in 2000.

"A Rugrats Chanukah" is a special episode of Nickelodeon's animated television series Rugrats. The first episode of the show's fourth season, it tells the story of the Jewish holiday Chanukah through the eyes of the Rugrats, who imagine themselves as the main characters. The idea of a Rugrats Chanukah special was pitched by Nickelodeon executives in 1992, but the concept was revised and became the 1995 special, "A Rugrats Passover". After production of the Passover episode wrapped, the crew returned to the Chanukah idea. Nickelodeon broadcast "A Rugrats Chanukah" on December 4, 1996; the episode received a Nielsen rating of 7.9 and positive reviews from television critics. Along with other Rugrats episodes featuring Grandpa Boris and his wife, the special attracted controversy when the Anti-Defamation League compared the character designs to anti-Semitic drawings from a 1930s Nazi newspaper.

Avatar: The Last Airbender is a 61-episode, Emmy Award-winning American animated television series written and created by Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko. It first aired on February 21, 2005 with a one-hour series premiere and concluded its run with a two-hour TV movie on July 19, 2008. The Avatar franchise refers to each season as a "Book", in which each episode is referred to as a "chapter". Each "Book" takes its name from one of the elements that the protagonist must master: Water, Earth, and Fire. The show's first two seasons each consisted of 20 episodes, while the third season had 21. In addition to the three seasons, there were two recap episodes and three "shorts". The first recap summarized the first eighteen episodes while the second summarized season two. The first self-parody was released via an online flash game. The second and third were released with the Complete Second Season Box Set DVD. The entire series has been released on DVD in both Region One and Region Two.

Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events is a 2004 film directed by Brad Silberling. It is an adaptation of the The Bad Beginning, The Reptile Room, and The Wide Window, being the first three books in A Series of Unfortunate Events by Lemony Snicket. The film stars Jim Carrey, Liam Aiken, Emily Browning, Timothy Spall, Billy Connolly, and Meryl Streep, with narration by Jude Law and cameos by Catherine O'Hara and Dustin Hoffman. The film tells the story of three orphans who are adopted by a mysterious theater troupe actor named Count Olaf as he attempts to steal their late parents' fortune. Nickelodeon Movies purchased the film rights to Daniel Handler's book series in May 2000 and soon began development of a film. Barry Sonnenfeld signed on to direct in June 2002. He hired Handler to adapt the screenplay and courted Jim Carrey for Count Olaf. Sonnenfeld eventually left over budget concerns in January 2003 and Brad Silberling took over. Robert Gordon rewrote Handler's script, and principal photography started in November 2003. A Series of Unfortunate Events was entirely shot using sound stages and backlots at Paramount Pictures and Downey Studios. The film received generally favorable reviews from critics, grossed approximately $209 million worldwide, and won the Academy Award for Best Makeup.

Rugrats: Search for Reptar is an adventure video game that was released in 1998 for PlayStation in North America and in the PAL region by THQ. The game is based on the popular Nickelodeon cartoon Rugrats which aired from 1991 until 2004. The game follows the main character of the cartoon, Tommy Pickles, who has lost his Reptar puzzle. It features stages that are typically based on episodes from the television show. It was developed with the intent of appealing to ages seven through twelve. A marketing campaign, which was the second biggest of 1998, was formed in conjunction between Sony Computer Entertainment America and THQ for its North American release, in order to bolster the children's market on the PlayStation. The game has been met with mixed reviews from critics, though it has regularly been noted that children will enjoy it. It was criticized for its camera and gameplay by publications such as IGN and GameSpot; but was given a positive reception for its presentation and was well-received commercially, being the third best-selling game in the first two weeks of its release. It was incorporated into the Greatest Hits brand and sold more than 1.5 million copies.

SpongeBob SquarePants is a fictional character in the animated television series SpongeBob SquarePants. He is voiced by Tom Kenny and first appeared on television in the series' pilot episode "Help Wanted" on May 1, 1999 (pictured). SpongeBob was created and designed by cartoonist Stephen Hillenburg shortly after the cancellation of Rocko's Modern Life in 1996. Hillenburg intended to create a series about an over-optimistic sponge that annoys other characters. As he drew the character, he decided that a "squeaky-clean square" (like a kitchen sponge) fits the concept. SpongeBob is a naïve and goofy sea sponge who works as a fry cook in the fictional underwater town of Bikini Bottom. SpongeBob has achieved popularity with both children and adults, though he has been involved in public controversy. The character appeared in a We Are Family Foundation video promoting tolerance, which was criticized by James Dobson of Focus on the Family because of the foundation's link to homosexuality.

Season two (Book 2: Earth) of Avatar: The Last Airbender, an American animated television series on Nickelodeon, first aired its 20 episodes from March 17, 2006 to December 1, 2006. The season was created and produced by Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko and starred Zach Tyler Eisen, Mae Whitman, Jack DeSena, Jessie Flower, Dante Basco, Dee Bradley Baker, Mako and Grey DeLisle as the main character voices. In this season, the protagonist Aang and his friends Katara and Sokka are on a quest to find an Earthbending teacher which finishes when they recruit Toph Beifong. After finding important information concerning the war with the Fire Nation, Appa ends up kidnapped. Throughout the season's airing, the show received much critical acclaim, with praises such as, "As a flat concept, Avatar: The Last Airbender is nothing special, but in execution, it is head and shoulders above other children's entertainment", and that "as a whole, the look of Avatar is consistently excellent. Between January 23, 2007 and September 11, 2007, Nickelodeon released five DVD sets for the season: four sets containing five episodes each, and a fifth DVD collection of all twenty episodes.

The Legend of Korra is an American animated television series that premiered on the Nickelodeon television network in 2012. It was created by Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko as a sequel to their series Avatar: The Last Airbender, which aired on Nickelodeon from 2005 to 2008. Several people involved with creating Avatar, including designer Joaquim Dos Santos and composers Jeremy Zuckerman and Benjamin Wynn, returned to work on The Legend of Korra. The series is set in a fictional universe where some people can manipulate, or "bend", the elements of water, earth, fire, or air. Only one person, the "Avatar", can bend all four elements, and the Avatar is responsible for maintaining balance in the world. The series follows Avatar Korra as she travels to the metropolis of Republic City to learn airbending and face an anti-bender revolutionary group called the "Equalists." The series, whose style is strongly influenced by Japanese animation, has been a critical and commercial success. It obtained the highest audience total for an animated series in the U.S. in 2012, and it was praised by reviewers for its high production values and for addressing difficult sociopolitical issues such as social unrest and terrorism. It was initially conceived as a miniseries of 12 episodes, but it is now set to run for 52 episodes separated into four "books," each of which tells a separate story.

The animated television series Rugrats has been noted for its portrayal of Judaism, a dynamic rarely portrayed in American animated programming during the series' broadcast run (1991–2004). Two episodes of the series are devoted to Jewish holidays and explaining their history, and the Pickles family is shown to be part-Jewish. The first Rugrats Jewish holiday special was suggested to the production staff in 1992 by Nickelodeon executives as a special devoted to Hanukkah. Germain instead refashioned it into a Passover episode and the series did not explore a Hanukkah special until 1996. Critical reaction to Jewish themes in Rugrats was largely positive. Each holiday special achieved high viewing numbers according to Nielsen Media Research and received positive reviews. However, Jewish character Grandpa Boris' portrayal in a 1998 Rugrats comic strip was criticized by the Anti-Defamation League for apparent antisemitism.

"Reptar on Ice" is the tenth episode of the second season of the animated television series Rugrats. It is the first segment of the twenty-third episode for the entire series. The episode was written by Peter Gaffney and directed by Howard E. Baker. It was originally broadcast on November 8, 1992. "Reptar on Ice" followed the infant main characters, Tommy, Chuckie, Phil, and Lil going to an ice show with their parents that follows the love story of the babies' favorite cartoon character, Reptar. There, the babies attempt to return a lizard to the actor, assuming it is his child. "Reptar on Ice" continued Rugrats' employment of the character Reptar, a satirical parody of Godzilla. The episode included several other cultural references; the basic theme lampoons the commercialization of children's media products and its plethora of merchandise tie-ins. The ice show the children see is referent to real-life ice shows, such as "Disney on Ice," and its plot centers around a Beauty and the Beast-style love story. The episode was released on the DVD and VHS compilation "Decade in Diapers," which included the "favorite episodes" of Rugrats in their respected category as voted on by fans on Nick.com, and was celebratory of the show's tenth anniversary. "Reptar on Ice" in particular was categorized as the "Favorite Reptar-Rageous Episode." Gord Lacey of TVShowsOnDVD described it as one of his favorite episodes from the compilation, tied with "Vacation Special." It was adapted into an audio story, which was featured prominently on the CD and cassette tape "In Search Of The Mighty Reptar".

Spongiforma squarepantsii is a species of fungus in the Boletaceae family, genus Spongiforma. Found in Malaysia, it was described as new to science in 2011. It produces sponge-like, rubbery orange fruit bodies that have a fruity or musky odour. The fruit bodies reach dimensions of 10 cm (3.9 in) wide by 7 cm (2.8 in) tall. Like a sponge, they will resume their original shape if water is squeezed out. The spores, produced on the surfaces of the hollows of the sponge, are almond-shaped with rough surfaces, and measure 10–12.5 by 6–7 micrometers. The name of the fungus is derived from the cartoon character SpongeBob SquarePants. S. squarepantsii is one of two species in Spongiforma; it differs from S. thailandica in its colour, odour, and spore structure.

"Pest of the West" is the 16th episode of the fifth season and the 96th overall episode of the American animated television series SpongeBob SquarePants. The episode originally aired on Nickelodeon in the United States on April 11, 2008. The series follows the adventures of the title character in the underwater city of Bikini Bottom. In the episode, SpongeBob finds that he is a distant relative of SpongeBuck, a sheriff from Bikini Bottom's past who helped save the citizens from the quickest whip draw in town, the evil Dead Eye Plankton. The episode was written by Luke Brookshier, Tom King, Steven Banks and Richard Pursel, with Andrew Overtoom and Tom Yasumi serving as animation directors. "Pest of the West" became available on DVD on April 15, 2008. The song called "Idiot Friends", written by Tom Kenny and Andy Paley, was featured in the episode, and was later released on the album called SpongeBob's Greatest Hits in 2009. Upon release, the episode garnered a total of 6.1 million viewers, and was met with positive reviews from media critics.

"Extreme Spots" is the first episode of the ninth season and the 179th overall episode of the American animated television series SpongeBob SquarePants. The episode originally aired on Nickelodeon in the United States on July 21, 2012. The series follows the adventures of the title character in the underwater city of Bikini Bottom. In the episode, SpongeBob and Patrick try to do their best to join extreme sports team The Drasticals, no matter how extreme, dangerous, or stupid it gets. Nick at Nite (stylized as nick@nite) is the nighttime programming block that broadcasts over the channel space of Nickelodeon on Sunday through Thursdays from 8 p.m.-7 a.m., Fridays from 9 p.m.-6 a.m. and Saturdays from 10 p.m.-6 a.m. (Eastern and Pacific Time). Though it shares channel space with Nickelodeon, A.C. Nielsen Co. rates Nick at Nite as a separate channel from Nickelodeon for ratings purposes. Since Nick at Nite and Nickelodeon are commonly considered as two individual channels that share the same channel space, the two services are sometimes referred to under the collective name "Nickelodeon/Nick at Nite". Nickelodeon is known for its children's programs during the day, while Nick at Nite appeals to adult and/or adolescent audiences with a lineup of mainly live-action sitcom reruns. However because Nick at Nite shares channel space with Nickelodeon (paralleling Cartoon Network and Adult Swim), some of Nick at Nite's viewer base is younger than 18 years of age, and unlike Adult Swim, the content on Nick at Nite (though looser in regards to profanity and suggestive dialogue compared to Nickelodeon) is not as raunchy and less violent, encouraging a crossover audience between it and Nickelodeon.

The Angry Beavers is an American animated television series created by Mitch Schauer for the Nickelodeon channel. The series revolves around Daggett and Norbert Beaver, two young beaver brothers who have left their home to become bachelors in the forest near Wayouttatown, Oregon. The show premiered in the United States on April 19, 1997 and completed its run on November 11, 2003 (with several episodes remaining unaired). The show started airing on the Nickelodeon Canada channel when it launched on November 2, 2009.

All That is an American live-action, sketch comedy-variety show that aired on the Nickelodeon cable television network featuring short comedic sketches and weekly musical guests. The theme song for All That was performed by TLC. Early episodes were taped at the closed Nickelodeon Studios at Universal Orlando, but then moved to Hollywood at the Nickelodeon On Sunset theater (formerly the Earl Carrol Theatre), where shows like The Amanda Show, Kenan & Kel, and Drake & Josh were also filmed. All That first aired on April 16, 1994, as a "sneak peek" and debuted as a regular series on December 24, 1994. It was also broadcast internationally, in countries such as the United Kingdom, Australia, India, Japan, Malaysia, Spain and Canada. All That lasted ten seasons before it was canceled in 2005. The last episode aired on October 22, 2005 on the Nickelodeon network. The show started out in the SNICK block until 2004, when the network converted the SNICK time-slot into a second night for TEENick. In fact, the second era castmembers would host SNICK as the "On Air Dare" would be played between shows during commercial breaks.

The Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards, also known as the KCAs and/or Kids Choice Awards, is an annual awards show that airs on the Nickelodeon cable channel, which airs live and is usually held and telecast live (though with a three-hour time delay for those watching in the Pacific Time Zone or on the Nick 2 feed on digital cable that simulcasts the Pacific time zone feed) on a Saturday night in late March or early April, that honors the year's biggest television, movie, and music acts, as voted by Nickelodeon viewers. Winners receive a hollow orange blimp figurine, a logo outline for much of the network's 1984-2009 era, which also functions as a kaleidoscope. The show features numerous celebrity guests and musical acts. In recent years, slime stunts have been incorporated into the show. The KCAs also host live entertainment. It has also been known to overwhelmingly cover people with the network's trademark green slime. SpongeBob SquarePants has won the most KCA awards (8), followed by Will Smith (7), Miley Cyrus (6), Britney Spears (5) and Hilary Duff (4). The Penguins of Madagascar is an American CGI animated television series airing on Nickelodeon. It stars nine characters from the DreamWorks Animation animated film Madagascar: The penguins Skipper (Tom McGrath), Kowalski (Jeff Bennett), Private (James Patrick Stuart), and Rico (John DiMaggio); the lemurs King Julien (Danny Jacobs), Maurice (Kevin Michael Richardson), and Mort (Andy Richter); and Mason (Conrad Vernon) and Phil the chimpanzees. Characters new to the series include Marlene the otter (Nicole Sullivan) and a zookeeper named Alice (Mary Scheer). A pilot episode, "Gone in a Flash", aired as part of "Superstuffed Nicktoons Weekend" on November 29, 2008 before a new episode of SpongeBob SquarePants, and The Penguins of Madagascar became a regular series on March 28, 2009. The series takes place after the events of Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa (with elements from the Penguins' Christmas Caper intact; noticeably, Rico's scar and mohawk). This is the first Nicktoon produced with DreamWorks Animation. The series premiere drew 6.1 million viewers, setting a new record as the most-watched premiere. The show finished 2010 as the number two animated program on television among kids age 2-11 and in basic cable total viewers, with only SpongeBob SquarePants ahead in the ratings.

Drake & Josh is an American sitcom that premiered on Nickelodeon on January 11, 2004, which follows the lives of two stepbrothers. It stars Drake Bell and Josh Peck as stepbrothers Drake Parker and Josh Nichols, respectively. Both actors had played roles in The Amanda Show, along with Nancy Sullivan, who plays Drake and Megan's mother, Audrey, of the series. Jonathan Goldstein plays Josh's father, Walter, and Miranda Cosgrove plays Drake's evil little sister, Megan. The series ran from Sunday, January 11, 2004 to Sunday, September 16, 2007, although a second film entitled Merry Christmas, Drake & Josh debuted on Friday, December 5, 2008. Seasons 1, 2, and 4 were filmed at the Nickelodeon On Sunset in Hollywood, and Season 3 was filmed at Tribune Studios (now Sunset Bronson Studios; the Old Warner Brothers Studio) on the same boulevard.

Dora the Explorer is an American educational animated TV series created by Chris Gifford, Valerie Walsh, and Eric Weiner. Dora the Explorer became a regular series in 2000. The show is carried on the Nickelodeon cable television network, including the associated Nick Jr. channel. It aired on CBS until September 2006. A Spanish-dubbed version first aired as part of a Nick en español block on NBC Universal-owned Telemundo through September 2006; since April 2008, this version of the program has been carried on Univision as part of the Planeta U block. The series is co-produced by Nickelodeon Productions and Nickelodeon Animation Studio. "Adventure Time" is an animated short created by Pendleton Ward, as well as the pilot to Cartoon Network series of the same name. The short follows the adventures of Pen (voiced by Zack Shada), a human boy, and his best friend Jake (voiced by John DiMaggio), a dog with magical powers to change shape and grow and shrink at will. In this episode, Pen and Jake have to rescue Princess Bubblegum (voiced by Paige Moss) from the antagonistic Ice King (voiced by John Kassir). "Adventure Time" leaked online in January 2007, and eventually went viral; as of April 2008, the pilot has had over 3,000,000 views. It then officially aired as part of Frederator Studios' Random! Cartoons on December 7, 2008, subsequently leading to the creation of the animated series. It was nominated for an Annie Award for Best Animated Short Subject. The short and the later-produced television series share elements, but the two differ slightly in setting, conception and continuity, especially in regards to the post-apocalyptic setting, which is only featured in the television series.

Jimmy Neutron refers to a Nickelodeon franchise that involves a feature film, two television series, and several video games and television films. A film, Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius was distributed by Paramount Pictures in 2001, and produced by Nickelodeon Movies with O Entertainment and DNA Productions. Directed by John A. Davis, the film centers around the parents of Jimmy's hometown being kidnapped by aliens known as Yokians, causing Jimmy and the rest of the children in town to band together to rescue them. An American computer animated television series The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius created by John A. Davis, the 2002 spin-off to the 2001 film, originally aired on Nickelodeon for three seasons from July 20, 2002 to November 25, 2006.

The Amanda Show is an American live action sketch comedy and variety show that aired on Nickelodeon from October 16, 1999 to September 21, 2002. It starred Amanda Bynes (pictured), Drake Bell and Nancy Sullivan, along with several performing artists who came and left at different points, such as John Kassir, Raquel Lee and Josh Peck. The show was a spin-off from All That, in which Bynes had co-starred for several years. The show was unexpectedly cancelled at the end of 2002, according to creator Dan Schneider's blog. Writers for the show included John Hoberg, Steven Molaro, Andrew Hill Newman and Dan Schneider. Two years after the end of The Amanda Show, Dan Schneider created a new series, called Drake & Josh, featuring Drake Bell, Josh Peck and Nancy Sullivan.

"SpongeBob vs. The Big One" is the 11th episode of the sixth season and the 111th overall episode of the American animated television series SpongeBob SquarePants. It originally aired on Nickelodeon in the United States on April 17, 2009. The series follows the adventures of the title character in the underwater city of Bikini Bottom. In the episode, SpongeBob and his friends search for Jack Kahuna Laguna to teach them the gnarly surf moves to hit the elusive wave, The Big One, in order to return to Bikini Bottom. The episode was directed by Andrew Overtoom, and Alan Smart. Written by Aaron Springer, Paul Tibbitt, and Steven Banks, the episode was part of the series' tenth anniversary celebration. It features guest appearances by Johnny Depp as the voice of Jack Kahuna Laguna, Bruce Brown as the narrator, and Davy Jones as himself. Upon premiere, the episode pulled an average of 5.8 million viewers, and met positive reviews. On March 3, 2009, the DVD and the video game based on the episode was released simultaneously.

"Have You Seen This Snail?" is the third episode of the fourth season and the 63rd overall episode of the American animated television series SpongeBob SquarePants. It originally aired on Nickelodeon in the United States on November 11, 2005. The series follows the adventures of the title character in the underwater city of Bikini Bottom. In the episode, Gary, SpongeBob's meowing sea snail, runs away from home after feeling neglected by SpongeBob and is adopted by a new owner. After realizing the error of his ways, SpongeBob sets out with his best friend Patrick to search for his adored pet and bring him back to his rightful home. "Have You Seen This Snail?" was written by Aaron Springer and Paul Tibbitt and directed by Springer. Amy Poehler guest starred in the episode as the voice of Grandma. Stew performed the musical number "Gary, Come Home". The episode garnered a viewership of eight million, achieving the highest number of cable television viewers aged six to eleven years old for 2005, and received positive reviews from critics.

Season Three (Book 3: Fire) of Avatar: The Last Airbender, an American animated television series on Nickelodeon, first aired its 21 episodes from September 21, 2007 to July 19, 2008. The season was created by Michael Dante DiMartino (pictured) and Bryan Konietzko and starred Zach Tyler Eisen, Mae Whitman, Jack DeSena, Jessie Flower, Dante Basco, Dee Bradley Baker, Grey DeLisle, and Mark Hamill as character voices. This third and final season focuses on Aang's quest to defeat the tyrannical Fire Lord. In the season's beginning, protagonist Aang and his friends Sokka, Katara, and Toph are traveling through the Fire Nation, conjuring a plan for invading the Fire Nation and looking for a teacher to teach Aang Firebending. Midway through the season, Aang gathers friends he met in previous episodes and leads a failed invasion into the Fire Nation. The final season features twenty-one episodes, one more than the previous two seasons. The season finale consisted of the four episodes airing together as a two-hour television movie. Season Three received a similar positive critical reception to that of the previous seasons. The season, and especially the finale, received much critical acclaim, with praises from sources such as DVD Talk and IGN. Between October 30, 2007 and September 16, 2008, Nickelodeon released four DVD volumes and a "Complete Box Set". Each of the four volume DVDs consisted of one disc and five episodes, with the exception of volume four, which had six episodes, and the boxed set contained all twenty-one episodes on five discs.

"Pizza Delivery" is the first segment of the fifth episode of the American animated television series SpongeBob SquarePants. It originally aired on Nickelodeon in the United States on August 14, 1999. The series follows the adventures of the title character in the underwater city of Bikini Bottom. In the episode, Squidward and SpongeBob get lost in the middle of nowhere while delivering a Krabby Patty Pizza. "A Rugrats Passover" is the 23rd episode of the third season of the American animated television series Rugrats, and its 62nd episode overall. It was broadcast originally on April 13, 1995, on the cable network Nickelodeon. The plot follows series regulars Grandpa Boris and the babies as they become trapped in the attic on Passover; to pass the time, Boris tells the Jewish story of the Exodus. During the episode the babies themselves reenact the story, with young Tommy portraying Moses, while his cousin Angelica represents the Pharaoh of Egypt. "A Rugrats Passover" was directed by Jim Duffy, Steve Socki, and Jeff McGrath from the script by Peter Gaffney, Paul Germain, Rachel Lipman, and Jonathon Greenberg. The episode was conceived in 1992 when Germain responded to a Nickelodeon request for a Rugrats Hannukah special by creating a Passover episode instead. The episode scored a 3.1 Nielsen Rating, making it "the highest-rated show in Nickelodeon's history", and received overwhelmingly positive reviews, including from Jewish community publications. The episode also, however, attracted controversy, when the Anti-Defamation League compared the artistic design of the older characters to anti-Semitic drawings from a 1930s Nazi newspaper. The episode made Rugrats one of the first animated series to focus on a Jewish holiday; its success precipitated the creation of another special, "A Rugrats Chanukah", which also attracted critical acclaim.

Zoey 101 is an American television series which originally aired on Nickelodeon from January 9, 2005 until May 2, 2008. It focuses on the lives of teenager Zoey Brooks (Jamie Lynn Spears) and her friends as they attend Pacific Coast Academy (PCA), a fictional boarding school in Southern California. It was created by Dan Schneider. It was initially filmed at Pepperdine University in Malibu, California, then at stages in Valencia, California beginning in season 3. It was nominated for an "Outstanding Children's Program" Emmy in 2005. Zoey 101 was the most expensive production ever for Nickelodeon series, as it was shot completely on location in Malibu. It was also Nickelodeon's best performance for a series premiere (live action or animation) in almost eight years. Despite this, many critics have made negative comments about the show, its setting, and its characters.

The Fairly OddParents is an American animated television series that currently airs on the Nickelodeon television network. A ten-year-old boy named Timmy Turner was granted fairy godparents after his evil baby sitter Vicky made him miserable. His teacher, Mr. Crocker, believes firmly in fairy godparents and has been searching for them for a very long time. Mr. Crocker is dangerous to Timmy because according to Da Rules, if anyone sees a child's fairy godparents, they will have to go away forever.

The Adventures of Tintin (known as The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn outside North America) is a 2011 American performance capture 3D film based on The Adventures of Tintin, a series of comic books created by Belgian artist Hergé (Georges Remi). Directed by Steven Spielberg, produced by Peter Jackson, and written by Steven Moffat, Edgar Wright and Joe Cornish, the film is based on three of the original comic books: The Crab with the Golden Claws (1941), The Secret of the Unicorn (1943), and Red Rackham's Treasure (1944). It is the first-ever animated film for both Spielberg and his longtime collaborator, composer John Williams. Spielberg acquired rights to produce a film based upon the Adventures of Tintin series following Hergé's death in 1983, and re-optioned them in 2002. Filming was due to begin in October 2008 for a 2010 release, but release was delayed to 2011 after Universal opted out of producing the film with Paramount, who provided $30 million on pre-production. Sony chose to co-produce the films. The delay resulted in Thomas Sangster, who had been cast as Tintin, departing from the project. Producer Peter Jackson, whose company Weta Digital provided the computer animation, intends to direct a sequel. Spielberg and Jackson also hope to co-direct a third film. The first press screening was held on October 10, 2011 and the world première took place on October 22, 2011 in Brussels. The film was released in North American theaters on December 21, 2011 in Digital 3D and IMAX. It was released in Australia and New Zealand on 26 December 2011. The Adventures of Tintin was released to generally positive reviews, and won Best Animated Feature Film at the Golden Globe Awards that year.

House of Anubis is a jointly American/British/Belgian produced teen drama mystery television series based on the Belgian/Dutch television series Het Huis Anubis. The series was created by Hans Bourlon and Gert Verhulst and premiered on Nickelodeon on New Year's Day 2011 in the United States and on 25 February 2011 in the United Kingdom. The series is the first Nickelodeon series to be filmed overseas, the first soap opera created by Nickelodeon and the channel's first soap opera aimed at children and teenagers (sixth in Latin America).

Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide (sometimes shortened to "Ned's Declassified") is an American live action sitcom on Nickelodeon that debuted in the Nickelodeon Sunday night TEENick scheduling block on September 12, 2004. The series' actual pilot episode aired on September 7, 2003 without many of the current version's main characters. The main series finale aired on June 8, 2007. The show was produced by Apollo ProScreen GmbH & Co. Filmproduktion KG in association with Jack Mackie Pictures. Its main executive producer and creator is Scott Fellows, the head writer for The Fairly OddParents.

Legends of the Hidden Temple is an action-adventure game show for children. The show centered around a temple that was "filled with lost treasures protected by mysterious Mayan temple guards". Kirk Fogg hosted the program and served as the teams' guide, while Dee Bradley Baker announced and voiced a talking Olmec Head who "knows the secrets behind each of the treasures in his temple". Six teams of two children (one boy and one girl) competed to retrieve one of the historical artifacts in the temple by performing physical stunts and answering questions based on history, mythology, and geography. Legends of the Hidden Temple was produced by Stone Stanley Productions in association with Nickelodeon and was taped at Nickelodeon Studios at Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida. It aired on Nickelodeon from September 11, 1993 to 1995 in its first-run and through February 28, 1999 in reruns. Later, episodes of the program aired on Nick GAS from 1999–2007, and occasionally on TeenNick. In 1995, Legends of the Hidden Temple won a CableACE award for Best Game Show Special or Series.

Hey Dude is an American Western comedy series that aired from 1989 to 1991. The show was broadcast on the Nickelodeon network, and aired reruns on Nickelodeon until early 1999, and now on TeenNick ever since late 2011. Hey Dude was Nickelodeon's second original live action television series, following the 1984 series Out of Control. The series was set on the fictional "Bar None Dude Ranch" near the city of Tucson, Arizona. It portrayed the lives of the ranch's owner, his son, a female ranch hand, and four teenage summer employees. Hey Dude was a comedy geared towards a teenage audience. The complete series have been released on DVD. The first four seasons are on iTunes and available to stream free through Amazon Prime.

Aaahh!!! Real Monsters is an American animated television series about adolescent monsters in training, developed by Klasky Csupo for Nickelodeon. The show ran from October 30, 1994 to December 7, 1997 on Nickelodeon's main United States cable channel. The series is currently being released on DVD. The show focuses on three young monsters — Ickis, Oblina and Krumm — who attend an institute for monsters under a city dump and learn to frighten humans. Many of the episodes revolve around them making it to the surface in order to perform "scares" as class assignments.

Double Dare is a children's game show, originally hosted by Marc Summers, that aired on Nickelodeon. The show combines trivia questions with occasionally messy "physical challenges". It is often credited with putting the then-fledgling network on the map, and ranked #29 in TV Guide's list of the 50 Greatest Game Shows of All Time.

Are You Afraid of the Dark? is a Canadian horror fantasy-themed anthology television series. The original series was created by DJ MacHale and Ned Kandel, and was picked up by Nickelodeon in 1991. MacHale, Kandel, and Nickelodeon teamed up with the Canadian company Cinar, and as a part of the deal the show was filmed in Richmond, British Columbia and in the Greater Montreal area of Quebec, including their suburbs. The episode "The Tale of the Twisted Claw" was aired as a pilot on the evening of Halloween in October 1990 in Canada. Are You Afraid of the Dark? was aired from August 15, 1992 to April 20, 1996 on Nickelodeon's SNICK. The series also aired on the Canadian television network YTV from October 30, 1990 until June 11, 2000. The show was both a critical and commercial success, garnering numerous awards as the series progressed. A revived series with new directors, writers, and cast was produced by Nickelodeon from 1999 to 2000 and also aired on SNICK. The sole member from the original lineup to return for the sixth and seventh seasons was Tucker (Daniel DeSanto), although Gary (Ross Hull) returned for the concluding miniseries, which notably broke from the show's established format by blurring the line between story and "reality".
