Powerless is an upcoming American television series developed by Ben Queen for NBC, and the first situation comedy series set around the DC Universe.[1] The pilot, which was green lighted in August 2015, has been ordered to series on May 11, 2016.[2]

Premise
According to Variety.com, Powerless "is a workplace comedy set at one of the worst insurance companies in America — with the twist being that it also takes place in the universe of DC Comics. The show is about the reality of working life for a normal, powerless person in a world of superheroes and villains."[3]

Production
In January 2016, it was reported that NBC gave the pilot order for Powerless.[6] In February 2016, the main cast was announced: Vanessa Hudgens as the main character, Emily Locke,[3] Danny Pudi as Teddy, Alan Tudyk as Del and Christina Kirk as Jackie.[4] It was reported that no mainstream superheroes, like Batman or Superman, will be featured on the show.[citation needed]
