Qambar (person)
From Infogalactic: the planetary knowledge core
Qambar (Arabic: قمبر) was a freed slave of the Islamic caliph Ali.[1] According to some traditions, he was Ali's groom.[2][3]
In the Pakistani province Sindh, the descendants of Bantu slaves from Southeast Africa known as Sheedis refer to themselves as "Qambrani" (Urdu: قمبرانی , Sindhi: قمبراڻي) in reverence to Qambar.[4][5]
