Shimo-Akatsuka Station (下赤塚駅 Shimo-Akatsuka-eki?, lit. "Lower Akatsuka Station") is a railway station on the Tobu Tojo Line in Itabashi, Tokyo, Japan, operated by the private railway operator Tobu Railway.[1]

Lines

Shimo-Akatsuka Station is served by the Tobu Tojo Line from Ikebukuro in Tokyo. Located between Tōbu-Nerima and Narimasu, it is 8.9 km from the Ikebukuro terminus.[2] Only "Local" (all-stations) services stop at this station, with eight trains per hour in each direction during the daytime.[3]

The station consists of two side platforms serving two tracks.

History

The station opened on 29 December 1930.[2]

From 17 March 2012, station numbering was introduced on the Tobu Tojo Line, with Shimo-Akatsuka Station becoming "TJ-09".[4]

In fiscal 2010, the station was used by an average of 18,457 passengers daily.[5]
