Sursock House
Sursock House (also known as Palais Sursock) is a grand palace located on Rue Sursock in the city of Beirut in Lebanon. The palace, which was built in 1850 by Moïse Sursock,[1] is owned by Lady Cochrane Sursock, an advocate of preserving historic buildings in Lebanon.[2]
Sursock House, a symbol of the Sursock family's rich history, is located in the historic street known as, Rue Sursock, in the Achrafieh district of Beirut. The palace faces the Nicolas Sursock Museum, a 19th-century building that was bequeathed to the city of Beirut in 1961. The Sursock House is surrounded by gardens that can be hired for special events such as weddings.
