Initial visibility: currently defaults to autocollapse

To set this template's initial visibility, the |state= parameter may be used:

• |state=collapsed: {{Jeph Loeb|state=collapsed}} to show the template collapsed, i.e., hidden apart from its title bar
• |state=expanded: {{Jeph Loeb|state=expanded}} to show the template expanded, i.e., fully visible
• |state=autocollapse: {{Jeph Loeb|state=autocollapse}}
  • shows the template collapsed to the title bar if there is a {{navbox}}, a {{sidebar}}, or some other table on the page with the collapsible attribute
  • shows the template in its expanded state if there are no other collapsible items on the page

If the |state= parameter in the template on this page is not set, the template's initial visibility is taken from the |default= parameter in the Collapsible option template. For the template on this page, that currently evaluates to autocollapse. This template, since it mostly covers either comics titles or storylines, will automatically add the article to Category:Comics by Jeph Loeb, sorted by article name. The sort can be changed by adding " |<name to be sorted on> ".

Example: {{Jeph Loeb|Ultimates 3, The}} would sort to "U" not "T".

The parameter: |type = can be added to the template. Active settings include "tv" and "work". Any of these three will currently place the article into Category:Works by Jeph Loeb instead of the default comics category.

Please note that with normal placement of the navigation template, the category will precede "manually" added categories. Care should be taken.
