Thaumas

In Greek mythology, Thaumas (/ˈθɔːməs/; Θαύμας; gen.: Θαύμαντος; folk etymology "wonder"[1]) was a sea god, son of Pontus and Gaia. He married an Oceanid, Electra (or Ozomene). The children of Thaumas and Electra were the Harpies and Iris, the goddess of rainbows and a messenger of the gods; according to some, also Arke.
Poseidon overthrew him and became the new sea god.
Thaumas was also the name of a centaur.
