In May 2018, the United States exited the Iran Deal[1][2][3] and described the move as the "withdrawal", a technically wrong term since the agreement is not a treaty and US can abide by or violate the terms of the deal.[4]

President Trump accused Iran of sponsoring Hezbollah, the Taliban, Al Qaeda, Hamas, and other state-sponsored terrorist organizations, as well as bombing American embassies and military installations, killing and torturing hundreds of Americans.[5]
