Urupema is a municipality in the state of Santa Catarina in the South region of Brazil.[1][2][3][4] It has an area of approximately 353 km².

The city is one of the coldest in Brazil and sometimes there is chance of snow.

It is normal on the coldest days of winter, temperatures reach -10 °C (14 °F). The snowfall occurs during the winter and less frequently in fall and spring.
