Pen Varlen (Russian: Пен Варлен; Korean: 변월룡; September 29, 1916, Russian Empire; May 26, 1990, Leningrad, USSR) was a Soviet RussianKorean painter and graphic artist, a member of the Leningrad Union of Artists,[1] lived and worked in Leningrad, regarded as one of representatives of the Leningrad school of painting,[2] most famous for his portrait paintings.
