Watership Down is an upcoming British-Irish-American animated television miniseries directed by Noam Murro. It is based on the 1972 novel of the same name by Richard Adams and adapted by Tom Bidwell.[1] The four-part serial will broadcast on BBC One in the United Kingdom, and will stream internationally on Netflix in 2017.[2]

Production
In July 2014, it was announced that the BBC would be airing a new animated miniseries based on the novel.[3] In April 2016, it was announced that the series would be a co-production between the BBC and Netflix, and would consist of four one-hour episodes.[4] The series will have a budget of £20 million.[5]
