Xiaomi launched its latest flagship smartphone, the Mi 5, at a global launch event during Mobile World Congress 2016. The Mi 5 uses the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820.
The Mi 5 comes with a 5.15 inch Full HD 1080p 16 million color LED display. Mi 5 Camera has deep trench isolation image enhancement and 4-axis optical image stabilization. The Mi 5 is available in 3 colors: Black, White and Gold and in three different models, a 32GB model, a 64GB model and a 128GB model.
Three models:
1. Mi 5 Pro– Snapdragon 820 (2.15 GHz), 128GB flash, 4GB RAM, 3D ceramic back cover. Price: RMB 2699.
2. Mi 5 64 – Snapdragon 820 (2.15 GHz), 64GB flash, 3GB RAM, 3D glass back cover. Price: RMB 2299.
3. Mi 5 32 – Snapdragon 820 (1.8 GHz), 32GB flash, 3GB RAM, 3D glass back cover. Price: RMB 1999.
It was released in China on March 1st, 2016.[1]
In April 2016, the white 32 GB variant of the Mi 5 was released for Rs. 24999.[2]
Unfortunately, lack of second frame and use of low-grade aluminum leads to low structural strength compared to other phones of similar class.[3]
