The Zhengzhou East Railway Station (simplified Chinese: 郑州东站; traditional Chinese: 鄭州東站; pinyin: zhèngzhōu dōngzhàn, ZZD[citation needed]), is a high speed passenger railway station in Zhengzhou, Henan, China. It is located approximately 3 km southeast of the International Conventional and Exhibition Centre in the Zhengdong New Area, between East Jinshiu Rd. and Shangdu Rd. on both sides of the New National Highway 107, on the junction of the North-South Jingguang Passenger Railway and the East-West Xulan Passenger Railway. Upon its completion in September 2012, it has become one of the largest interchange railway stations in China.

Station Facilities

The new station will cover an area of 219.07 hectares and have a floor area of 350,000 sq m. It will cost 4 billion RMB, have 16 platforms (2 side platforms and 14 island platforms) and 34 tracks (4 stub-end and 30 through). Platforms 1 through 8 will be for the Jingguang Line (Beijing to Guangzhou and Hong Kong) and platforms 10 through 16 will be for the Xulan Line (Xuzhou and Shanghai to Lanzhou and Xi'an). Platform 9 will be for general use. There will also be a VIP waiting room and station offices on the platforms. The station will have 5 levels: ground level, 2 above ground, and 2 below. There will be a great hall with access to parking and station exits. The lower level will have six connecting corridors to the Zhengzhou Metro.
